Graphic Design is the art or profession of using design elements (as typography and images) to convey information or create an effect.
Graphic design serves a vital role in effective mass communications, and encompasses various modes of media. As a Graphic Designer I wear many hats, and stay on top of design trends. Colors and design that were previously popular in a specific industry category may not be the way to go this year? That applies across the board for any design projects, whether it be creating a logo, print design, or web presence.
The design process for advertising collateral follows the same rules, but creative layout and copy writing should be included in the mix.
My talents are honed in the layout of print advertising. As mentioned on the “about” page of this site, I’ve designed thousands of ads for an internationally recognized direct mail corporation. The common rule of thumb in this industry is create designs that capture the attention of a consumer and peak their interest immediately. Studies have determined that the average consumer scan ads and have roughly 2 seconds to determine “what’s in it for me?”
Whether the design is for a logo, web pages, print, presentation production, the design should always contribute in creating and maintaining a brand identity that best serves you or the company/product you represent.
I’m pleased to offer a skill set of creative, graphic design for both print and web services.
How I can contribute:
1. The design process starts with an analysis of your requirements and your market. Review your target audience then development the look and feel of a design that you like, and remains consistent with your brand of the design’s look and feel, then create a design or two that best represents you business and brand identity. Then you choose which design concept best meets your needs. We’ll make it a fairly simple process.
2. Turn your existing design into a creative piece that represents you and your business brand. (logo, brochure, advertising design, newsletter, web design, etc.).
3. If you’re not pleased with your designs that you’re currently using, I’ll assist in creating a totally new image for your business. A design that will present a cohesive and united visual message within all your marketing collateral.
If you already have a concept in mind, let’s talk about it! If not, I’ll work closely with you from start to finish to make sure you get exactly what you want.
